According to Iran’s state news agency, the forces of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard have seized the MSC Aries cargo ship “linked to Israel” in the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, UKMTO, which monitors merchant ship traffic of the British armed forces, said that a “regional authority” had taken “possession” of a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
The venue is on the Gulf of Oman southeast of the UAE beach city of Fujairah.
UKMTO recommends merchant ships operating in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity. The US Department of Defense says it is monitoring the situation.
Al-Arabiya and The Times of Israel according to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard troops landed on the ship by helicopter. According to The Times of Israel, the ship is behind the Zodiac Maritime company, which is part of an Israeli billionaire By Eyal Ofer Zodiac Group.
