The therapist’s defense was read by his lawyer. He has been working as a psychologist for 30 years and has never heard a complaint in all that time. His patients would be satisfied with his therapy and the touching would only have happened very occasionally, “only when nothing else worked”. His intentions are pure, he says, and he was a little more concerned with one of the patients. According to him, the imaginary father-daughter relationship can also be part of so-called schema therapy, “if a childish need is met, needs that were not met in childhood”.
