In “After the silence”, Christiane Jatahy blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction

Once again, the real and the imaginary are mixed in the work of Christiane Jatahy.

Christiane Jatahy, the Brazilian director, presents her latest show After the silence at 104 in Paris. She probes the echoes of slavery on our contemporary societies starting from her own country, Brazil. This is the last part of his trilogy of horrors after having tackled the mechanisms of fascism and the toxic power of patriarchy and, as usual, the artist once again mixes reality and fiction, theater and cinema on stage.
