Here are the first artists in this year’s So much better

So much better is one of Sweden’s most popular programs.
Two of the artists in the new season are Andreas Lundstedt and Peo Thyrén, which was revealed in tonight’s Efter fem.
It was obvious to say yes and I think it was time they called, says Peo Thyrén and laughs.

Petter, Eva Dahlgren, Magnus Uggla, Carola Häggkvist, Benjamin Ingrosso and Mapei. Six of the many artists who over the years participated in So much better. Now the hit program is back with its 15th edition.

“We go in as veterans”

In tonight’s Efter fem, the first two artists were revealed. One of them is Andreas Lundstedt who has a career as a solo artist behind him with several performances in Melodifestivalen but is perhaps best known as a singer in Alcazar.

– It’s nerve-wracking and of course you want to do as well as possible. I want to do the interpretations justice and I hope that the artists I interpret will like it, says Andreas.

The other one ready for the show is Noice member Peo Thyrén. The group reaped great success during the 80s and was one of Sweden’s biggest bands. Thyrén and his childhood friends started the cult band when they were 14-17 years old and were compared to Gyllene Tider.

– I think Alcazar has a lot of good songs and I like your middle song Driving dew falls rain. Melodies are important to me and so you can package and arrange the songs in different ways, says Peo about interpreting Lundstedt’s songs.

The duo about opening up to others

In addition to the music eliciting emotions, so do the conversations between the artists.

– Believe it or not, I get quite shy before I feel comfortable with people. It may take a little while, but when I feel comfortable, I can be quite cheerful, says Andreas.
