Imaginative windbreaks are built along Rickleån in Robertsfors

There are three scenic places along Rickleån that students from Umeå School of Architecture have studied carefully and developed ideas about. The end result is now seven windbreaks in artistic and unusual shapes built entirely of wood.

Active visitors

Companies in the town have contributed building materials and other things that were necessary for the construction.

– You can climb in them and be active as a visitor and at the same time lie and rest in them and at the same time look at the river and hear the noise and birdsong, says Jessica Erlaskog.

The project with the wind protection is part of what the municipality of Robertsfors calls the transformation of society in that the municipality is facing major changes in the infrastructure, among other things through the construction of the Norrbotniabanan and running through the community.
