Ice hockey: Mika Zibanejad had a great show when the NY Rangers took the first quarter-final: “Were really thirsty”

– We have been waiting a long time to play again and were really hungry, says Zibanejad to Aftonbladet after the victory in the quarterfinals played before the round of 16 was completed with Dallas-Vegas Game 7.

The NY Rangers swept Washington 4-0 in the Round of 16 and were eager to play after the long rest.

The Swede’s scoring output came within 14 minutes of the first period. At the 2-1 goal, Zibanejad received a sandwich served by Chris Kreider who stood in front of the goal and behind his back got the puck out. Zibanejad cut directly into the open goal.

“Mika does everything for us”

– Mika does everything for us, drawings, takes responsibility in his own zone, is structured and contributes offensively. We are truly lucky to have two centers of that caliber, says Kreider, also mentioning Vincent Trocheck for the NLH website.

The Swede has ten points in five games in the playoffs, which means he is tied for second place in the points league with Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl, two points behind Connor McDavid.
