Hold perpetrators of domestic violence accountable to prevent repeat offenses

It is a unique system in France: a support and prevention center entirely dedicated to people prosecuted for domestic violence, the vast majority of whom are men. The center, which is located in Lille, allows these alleged perpetrators to be housed. And they are monitored, in a reinforced manner, by a multidisciplinary team to avoid recurrence. Comprehensive support for several months, before their judgment, to help them take responsibility and come out of denial.

“Holding perpetrators of domestic violence responsible to avoid repeat offenses”, a major report by Lise Verbeke.
