Here, Åsarna residents get the chance to cheer on their daughter in the World Cup in Östersund

When the World Cup is held in Sweden, the Swedish team is usually able to field more riders than normal. It means a chance for riders to test themselves against the absolute best and to gather new experiences.

26-year-old Ingrid Hallquist from Åsarna made her international World Cup debut last year and this weekend it was time again, now at home in Östersund.

Especially for the whole family

Both Hallquist parents were naturally present in the stands to cheer on their daughter. And for both them and Ingrid Hallquist, it is special to be part of a World Cup on home soil.

– It is clear that it means a lot that they are here. They have been on the whole journey from the time you were little to where you are today, says Ingrid Hallquist.
