He won the Finnish Melodifestivalen: “Sweden is my favorite country”

Windows95man’s real name is Teemu Keisteri and is originally a visual artist and DJ. During the Finnish equivalent of the Melodifestivalen, which is called the Competition for new music UMK, he took the opportunity to offer an underpants shock. He also had Henri Piispanen with him on stage, who is not really part of the Windows95man concept.

– We definitely didn’t expect this, first we were happy to be in the top three, then happy to come second after Sara Siipola, and then in the middle of it all we won, the duo explains in an interview with Finnish EPN.

The international jury was questioned

He is looking forward to going to Malmö and giving archenemy Sweden a match after last year’s miserable loss in Eurovision. Then Loreen won over the crowd favorite Käärijä, who got 376 points from the audience, while Loreen “only” got 243. That made the Finns go out of their houses and demand that the votes of the international jury should be abolished.

Despite the rivalry, Teemu Keisteri is positive about the neighboring country:

– It is my favorite country to perform in after Japan, he answers the question about how it feels to be able to go to Sweden in May.

Must change name

When asked what he thinks about Israel’s participation in Eurovision, Teemu Keisteri says that the duo would rather see Israel not participate.

– We hope that the EBU makes the right decisions, he tells EPN.

However, the win brings a problem for Teemu Keisteri and Henri Piispanen. Namely, you will not be able to compete under the stage name Windows95man because the rules do not allow any product placement.
