He said Let new recruits work 18 hours a day

18 HOURS OFFICE OFFER! GREAT REACTION TO SHANTANU DESHPANDE

Deshpande, in a post on his LinkedIn account, said that young people starting a new job should ‘worship work’. Also, Deshpande suggested that it is “too early” for young people to consider maintaining a work-life balance at the start of their careers.

Reactions to Shantanu Deshpande on social media have skyrocketed. Users accused the business person of supporting a “toxic work culture”. Another user pointed out that Deshpande did not say he would “pay extra” to people who work longer hours.

In 2020, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy also argued that the people of India should work at least 64 hours a week for 2 to 3 years to compensate for the economic recession caused by the Covid-19 restrictions.

After intense criticism, Shantanu Deshpande made an addition to her post. She also noted that those who are curious about the working culture in the Indian businessman company can meet with their employees.
