Ferry Svan, son of Gunde Svan, was forced into surgery.
Now he speaks out about the injury for the first time.

To this day see Gunde Swan as one of the best skiers ever. That, plus his charismatic personality when he hosted several popular entertainment programs, has made Svan one of our most popular profiles in Sweden.

Gunde’s career

During his time as an active skier, Gunde won, among other things, four Olympic golds, seven World Cup golds, and took 30 World Cup victories. He also took home the overall World Cup five times. Svan ended his skiing career as a 29-year-old, and has since gone on to become a television profile.

Ferry’s injury

Together with his wife Marie Swan Gunde has two children – Julia Swan30, and Ferry Swan27. Julia was involved in cross-country skiing before, but due to injury problems she had to give up her elite effort early on.
Ferry, on the other hand, is still active, but in a completely different sport. Namely timber sports, also called timber sports. In short, the sport involves splitting wood efficiently in various competitions.

All the chopping seems to have taken its toll on Ferry, who has had to deal with a lingering shoulder injury. Recently, the 27-year-old was forced to have an operation on his shoulder to fix the problem.
“Operation and hopefully on the road to recovery with the shoulder after a long time of problems! Now the question is how long I can claim that I can’t do the dishes,” writes Ferry on Instagram, followed by a thoughtful emoji.

Next winter, Ferry, together with father Gunde Svan, will act as gladiators during the filming of the new season of Superstars.
