Guld-Lelle’s best tip – how to find the treasures

He has traveled the world in search of the glittering precious metal.
But now Lelle Olsson from Västerås reveals how to find gold even on Swedish soil.
You basically just need a big forehead and a hell of a lot of patience, he says.

Lelle Olsson’s passion has taken him to fertile ground around the world. Among other things, he has been to the American state of California, in the same place where the gold rush started in 1848. Which, according to him, is the best place.

– California is undoubtedly the best place. It’s a nice temperature and a lot of gold, so it’s clearly in high demand, he says.

He doesn’t like to talk about how much gold he actually lifted out of the ground. But he can reveal how to find deposits in Sweden.

– It is pretty much everywhere. Pebble saucers carry gold, then you learn to check on maps where to go out and look. There are old maps that show where the ice elves have drops, he says.

For those with limited knowledge, but with a big appetite for gold, he has a couple of tips.

– My best tip is to go down to Ädelfors just outside Vetlanda, as you can take a basic course that shows you how to do it – and there is actually gold in the river there, he says.

“Damn patience”

However, gold digging does not require major prior knowledge and no advanced technology, according to Olsson.

– You basically just need a big forehead and a hell of a lot of patience. You have to shovel a lot of gravel to find some gold, especially in Sweden. It’s not enough when you end up in the countries where you get gold in every pan, but you have to have a lot of patience and love being out in nature, he says.

– You have to be prepared to spend a lot of time.
