Further information about the series is rare. A start date or a rough release window are not yet known. There is no concrete information about the plot and characters yet, but the official press release states:
We’re extremely excited to expand the Blade Runner canon into new areas with the provocative actionthat Silka created.
What exactly is meant by this will hopefully be clarified in the coming months. Incidentally, Blade Runner is not the only production version of a Ridley Scott classic that is currently in the works. The American broadcaster FX is producing an Alien series for next year.
