According to the news of Israel’s Yediot Ahronot newspaper, it was stated that Egyptian and Israeli officials met between Tel Aviv and Hamas within the scope of prisoner exchange and ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip.
It was stated that after the meeting, the Israeli official, whose name was not disclosed, made evaluations about the meeting to the local press.
“ONE LAST CHANCE”
It was noted that at the meeting, the Israeli side conveyed to the Egyptian side that it was “ready to give one last chance” to reach a prisoner exchange agreement, but that if there was no progress in the negotiations, it would launch a land attack on Rafah.
The Egyptian delegation, headed by Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamil, went to Israel today to discuss prisoner exchange negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
