Succulents, also called succulents, can survive without water for a long time and require little maintenance. But beyond their extraordinary capacities, they also have completely unexpected uses. Futura-Sciences interviewed Jean-Marie Solichon, director of the exotic garden of Monaco, so that he could tell us about it.

Precious superfood, the ginger is not eaten only in dishes. His rhizome is also excellent in infusion to which it confers its properties and its characteristic aromas. Today, we tell you all about the preparation and the benefits of infusions of ginger.

The benefits of ginger infusion

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is best known for being a powerful natural aphrodisiac. But it would be a shame to confine it to this one property only. Its rhizome contains a wide range of nutrients that reduce fatigue, relieveinflammation, improve digestion, protect and strengthen the immune systemGinger is a concentrate of benefits, especially when consumed as an infusion.

Improves digestion

Drinking an infusion of ginger is ideal for preventing or relieving difficult digestion after a heavy meal. If you suffer from digestive problems and dyspepsia (bloating, stomach pains, reflux gastroesophageal …), this super food will become your best ally. Indeed, the rhizome of ginger contains enzymes that stimulate gastric emptying. Enjoy the benefits of ginger, it relieves a stomach that empties poorly or too slowly.

Relieves nausea

Do you regularly suffer from nausea or even vomiting? Preparing and drinking ginger tea can help relieve them. This is because the consumption of ginger reduces the motility gastro-duodenal, that is to say movements in the stomach and duodenum (first part of the small intestine). Its previous action on gastric emptying also contributes to reducing the feeling of nausea. The infusion of ginger is therefore very indicated in case of nausea and / or vomiting during pregnancy or in case of travel sickness.

Brings energy

Ginger infusions are great for filling up withenergy and start the day. The rhizome of the plant contains vitamins B, C and E as well as many minerals and trace elements that help reduce fatigue (magnesium, iron, potassium…). It is also rich in gingerols, active antioxidants which are responsible for its slight pungent taste. The infusion of ginger therefore has a 3-in-1 action: it keeps fatigue away, boosts the body and protects it from free radicals to stay in good health.
