Germany, retail sales worse than expected in March

(Finance) – Retail trade in Germany slows in March. In fact, sales in real terms recorded a decrease of 0.1% on the month, after the + 0.3% recorded the previous month. The data is worse than analysts’ expectations which were for an increase of 0.3%.

According to theGerman Federal Statistical Office (DESTATIS)in addition, the annual change was -2.7% from the + 7% recorded in February and compared to the + 6.3% of the consensus.
