Football: Big loss for Rosengård – tough finish in the Champions League

Rosengård cruised in the last CL match when they played 2-2 with Benfica at home.

Before that, there had been empty defeats in the group stage and on Wednesday night they conceded another one before the Champions League spotlight went out for this time.

It had been clear for a long time that there would be no playoffs for Rosengård after the group stage. In the last match, Eintracht Frankfurt was waiting away – where it was a big loss.

Collapsed towards the end

At halftime, however, the Germans’ lead was only 1-0.

It was during the last 20 minutes that it really got going. In the 66th minute it was 2-0 and then there were only two minutes between the third and fourth, a quarter from the end.

But it wasn’t quite over there.

In the 83rd minute, Geraldine Reuteler headed in 5-0, which was the final score. There was only one point for Rosengård and the goal difference remains at 3-23.

Games in the Swedish Cup await next for Rosengård on March 10.
