First trailer for the Marvel epic unleashes the new Thanos

After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the next big movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe awaits us in February 2023. After completing Phase 4, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania beats that second chapter of the multiverse saga on. The teaser trailer shows what we can expect from it.

Ant-Man 3 is about no direct sequel the first two parts. Rather, we are dealing with an MCU film that – like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – is connected to many other projects from the franchise. Especially the MCU series Loki will be interesting for Quantumania.

There’s a simple reason for that: in Loki, we get that time traveling villain Kang (Jonathan Majors), who is currently being built as the new Thanos. Across multiple films and series, Kang stirs up trouble in the MCU before unleashing fear and terror in 2025’s Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty.

For now, however, Kang is fighting with the Ant-Man family, starting with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), through Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) to Cassie, Scotts Daughter who has grown older and is therefore now embodied by Kathryn Newton. Additionally, another big name is hiding in the cast: Bill Murray shows up in one secret role on.

When is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in cinemas?

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania launches on 15 February 2023 in German cinemas. It is the first film in the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the 31st entry overall to expand the franchise on the big screen.
