The MonsterVerse grows and grows. Monarch, the first series in the Godzilla/Kong franchise, was released a few weeks ago. The series puts people in the foreground, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire reflects on the original values of the series: rock ‘n’ roll. Godzilla, King Kong and a new monster villain fight each other for about 2 hours. The first trailer has now been released.

The success of the MonsterVerse: The four blockbusters released in just seven years grossed an impressive $1.94 billion. Godzilla vs. Kong recently brought in a strong $468 million, even during the pandemic. Nevertheless, the cinema world is looking forward to Godzilla vs. Kong 2, because the elaborate series has not yet achieved a resounding success at the box office.
What is Godzilla vs. Kong 2 about?
Little is known about the film’s often irrelevant plot. It should closely follow the story of its predecessor Godzilla vs. Kong, which is not a given in this series. Dan Stevens returns for the first time, but the characters of Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle, among others, return in the sequel. Additionally, both films share the same director: Adam Wingard. This also illustrates the new continuity in the MonsterVerse.
