(Finance) – IVASS ordered the cessation of the insurance brokerage activity carried out through i following websites who illegally offer insurance services: sangiorgio amministrazione.it; salvettimaurizio.com; assi-colombo.com; darmonline.com; www.my-agenzia-associazione.it; emiliozupi.eu.
The blackout activities by the providers operating on Italian territory – we read in the note – are ongoing. For technical reasons the actual dimming it may take a few days.
It thus rises to 96 the number of abusive sites subject to cease-and-desist orders since IVASS began exercising the blackout power (November 2023).
IVASS rrecommends taking appropriate precautions when evaluating insurance offers via the Internet, telephone or fast messaging (for example, WhatsApp), especially if relating to temporary car insurance policies.
In particular, IVASS advises consumers to check, before paying the premium, that the estimates and contracts refer to duly authorized companies and intermediaries and that they can be consulted on the IVAS websiteS the lists of sites of insurance intermediaries regularly registered with RUI and the websites of insurance companies supervised by IVASS.
