Fire at Russian steel manufacturer

A fire broke out at the Russian steel manufacturer NLMK’s facility in Lipetsk during the night of Saturday, several media reports.

In videos spread on social media, an explosion can be seen at the plant. According to the company, the facility accounts for 18 percent of Russia’s steel production.

Governor Igor Artamonov writes on Telegram that the fire has been extinguished, that no one was injured and that it is believed to have been caused by a drone.
