Find Zygarde cells, use cubes and change shape – Here’s how

Looking for Zygarde Cells and want to change its shape? We show you in the guide how it works in Pokémon GO.

The Pokémon Zygarde can change shape in Pokémon GO. This requires tools like the Zygarde Cube and also Zygarde Cells.

We’ll show you everything we need to know about the Pokémon and its forms. As more information is gathered from trainers, we’ll update the article for you.

Find Zygarde cells

Where can you find cells? With the new Routes feature in Pokémon GO, you can create routes yourself or follow paths created by other Trainers.

As you follow them, you can find Zygarde Cells.

It is not yet clear how often they appear. In the game, the cells look like this:

If you find a cell, it will be collected in your cube. Depending on the shape you need different amounts of cells.

Zygarde Cube

You get the cube in the special research “From A to Zygarde” in chapter 3. It is there to save your collected cells.

Change the form of Zygarde

How do you change the shape? To change Zygarde’s form, you need Zygarde Cells. Depending on how many of them you have, you can activate other forms.

You can find your Zygarde in the special research “From A to Zygarde”.

How much do the molds cost? According to initial information, the optimum form should cost a total of 250 cells (via Pokeminers.com). So you have to follow many routes to get the final form of Zygarde.

  • For 50 cells you should be able to change the 10% shape to the 50% shape
  • It then costs 200 more cells to change the 50% form to the Optimum form
  • If you’re already in Optimum Form, you can switch to 10% Form and 50% Form for Candies and Stardust
  • It is quite possible that Niantic will still screw up the costs for the molds and that the information will change.

How are you enjoying Zygarde’s shape-shifting mechanic, and do you already have a favorite shape you’re dying to activate? Let us know what you think about it here on MeinMMO in the comments.
