Ferragni case 250 reports from consumers at Codacons after the

(Finance) – The first reports to Codacons by consumers who complain about having bought the now well-known product at a higher price Balocco pandoroPink Christmas‘ branded Chiara Ferragni, convinced that they were purchases for charity and who are now asking to be compensated. At the moment there are around 250 those collected by the associationthe most relevant ones, while many others are on the way, and is ready to make them available in the next few hours for the investigations underway in Milan for aggravated fraud against the influencer and the entrepreneur Alessandra Balocco.

“We purchased the pandoro precisely because our newborn had been looked after by Regina Margherita – we read in a report sent to the association – and therefore we chose this pandoro. We don’t have the receipt but the photo of the cake”. It is one of the many reports received by Codacons in recent hours.

“Last year – we read in another email – we purchased a Balocco pandoro in collaboration with Chiara Ferragni. Despite our few economic resources and the not insignificant price of the pandoro, it still seemed like a good initiative to help those who are less lucky us. Now we feel betrayed and cheated, because for us it was an expense that we made with our hearts; for this reason, I am here asking for a refund.”

The association, which in recent weeks presented the complaint from which the investigations began, calculated the alleged damages for the buyers of the designer pandoro at 1.65 million euros: a sum “calculated on the over 290 thousand pandoros sold in 2022 (out of a total of 362,577 pieces marketed) and equal to the difference between the price of the ‘normal’ Balocco pandoro (3.68 euros) and the Ferragni designer one (9.37 euros) , an increase in value which, thanks to the influencer’s posts, would have led us to believe that the price increase of 5.69 euros was the value of the donation in solidarity of the individual buyers”.
