The large-scale fantasy film adaptation Percy Jackson: The Series coming to Disney+* next month. The book adaptation brings Greek mythology full of monsters and gods into the modern age to unleash a magical adventure as Harry Potter competition. After a first short teaser and a second longer teaser, there is now the first real trailer with new insights. This also includes Luke Castellan’s actor: Charles Bushnell.

The first season of the Disney+ series is a film adaptation of volume 1 of Rick Riordan’s popular youth fantasy series: Percy Jackson: Thieves in Olympus *. In it, 12-year-old Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) learns that he not an ordinary student, but a demigod is. At Camp Halfblood he should learn to master his dormant abilities. However, together with the satyr Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and classmate Annabeth (Leah Jeffries), he will soon have to face an even greater challenge. Because Zeus’ lightning bolt was stolen and the trio is trying to find it again to prevent a war between the Olympian gods.

After the films Percy Jackson – Thieves of Olympus and Percy Jackson 2: Under the Spell of the Cyclops failed to bring the 5-volume main series* of the fantasy saga to an end, the series remake on Disney+ now has the chance to do so. The trailer already shows that the new edition will not be stingy with action and effects and is looking forward to further seasons. Meanwhile, the horned minotaur seems to have acquired some dog genes and the tiger lizard with hot breath is probably the chimera.

In addition to the young stars around Percy Jackson actor Walker Scobell (The Adam Project), the divine cast also includes the late Lance Reddick as Zeus, Toby Stephens as Poseidon, Glynn Turman as Chiron, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes and Jay Duplass as Hades the fantasy series.
Fans of the Percy Jackson books should also be happy to finally have a first look at the character after three videos (at minute 1:30 in the trailer). Luke Castellan to be able to throw. The half-blood son of Hermes, played by Charles Bushnell (Diary of a Future President), initially takes Percy Jackson under his wing at Camp Halfblood as a kind of mentor and friend, but later gives the story a decisive twist that will not be spoiled here if you don’t know them yet. The Percy Jackson series starts on Disney+ December 20, 2023. The first two episodes will be released together on this date. Then come the rest of the total 8 episodes then weekly always Wednesdays. The last episode of season 1 will be released on January 31, 2024.
