This spring 2024, Huawei continues to renew its catalog with its new MateBook

Also a good surprise once the PC is opened. The device reveals a 14.2-inch Oled touch screen offering a 3.1 K definition (3120 x 2080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In terms of brightness, the manufacturer promises a peak of 1000 nits. From what we were able to see during its presentation, the anti-reflective treatment seemed quite effective to us.

Under the hood, Huawei doesn’t skimp either. The device has a choice of an Intel Core Ultra 9 or Core Ultra 7 processor, the latest chips from the founder that we are starting to find in many computers since the start of the year. The MateBook Pro X comes with 16 or 32 GB of RAM and 1 or 2 TB of storage. It remains to be seen whether heat dissipation will be as effective with such a thin chassis.

The new MateBook X Pro will be available from June and available in three colors: Morandi blue, black and white. Count 1999 euros for the 16 GB-1 TB model equipped with a Core Ultra 7 and 2499 euros for the 32 GB-2 TB model powered by a Core Ultra 9.

If the MateBook The “classic” MateBooks also benefit from a nice update. The design has been revised with thinner borders. The size remains normal here with a thickness of 14.5 mm and a weight of 1.3 kg. For the display, we also benefit here from a 14-inch OLED touch panel, this time with a 2.8K definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The brightness is less extravagant than on the X Pro models. with 450 nits.

Under the hood, Huawei entrusts the work to a choice of an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 processor with three possible configurations consisting of 16 GB of RAM and 512 or 1 TB of storage space. For prices, count 1099 euros for the Core Ultra 5, 16-512 GB version, 1199 euros for the version with a 1 TB SSD and finally, 1399 euros for the Core Ultra 7 model supported by 16 GB of RAM and an SSD of 1 TB.
