(Finance) – TheCompetition and Market Authority has adopted a precautionary measure against Easy Energy provisionally suspending any action aimed at activating contracts for the supply of electricity and gas through teleselling, in the absence of a corresponding manifestation of the will of the consumer or as a result of misleading information, information omissions and undue conditioning.
The Authority also suspended with the measure precautionary payment requests and the disconnection of supplies pending complaints. Following the analysis of the reports and the documentation acquired during the inspection conducted after the initiation of the procedure, the Authority considered that the conditions of gravity and relevance of the disputed practices existed. Easy Energy must communicate within 10 days the measures taken to suspend such practices.
