(Finance) – “The presence in London today aims to seal what Elica has been doing for 45 years in this country”. That’s what she pointed out Francesco Casoli, president of Elicaby participating in the Clerkenwell Design Week in London, where the latest news from the Marche company were presented. A very important international appointment for Elica, which is a global leader in the production of kitchen extraction systems and a European leader in the production of electric motors for household appliances and domestic heating.
“We started as a small company from Fabriano – he explained Casoli – and from there we searched and found partners in Europe who allowed us to distribute our products. In England, we found the DR Cooker Hoods Ltd, who is still our distributor in London and throughout England. With this distributor we have grown a lot. We are here today to celebrate these years of collaboration and above all to show that Elica has changed as well as the United Kingdom. We have a series of new proposals, some things that are a bit refined, things that we had already presented before but that we are increasingly trying to make perfect, and other things that are completely new. Here in England the market is very lively, there is clearly a lot of demand for saving space, the costs of houses per square meter are always higher and therefore being able to present products such as the Lhov, which group three products in one – hob, oven and extractor – clearly goes towards what the property market in London and in general throughout the United Kingdom is asking for. We are very good at extraction, we are very good at cooking on our hobs and extractor hobs, so we have acquired expertise for ovens, fan ovens and steam ovens. By putting these three things together we have made this effort of creativity and in our opinion we have come up with a very interesting project, a project that brings these three products together, but which above all brings together what is there today, and maybe five years ago there was no ‘was, which is the ease of having an advanced electronic control system that manages to coordinate all these three products and which, above all, has the possibility of always being updated thanks to the fact that we connect this product, like almost everyone by now, to the wifi network and therefore we give the user the opportunity to take advantage of continuous updates and to understand continuously how their product can evolve. I think this is the future of the life of household appliances but in general of all products. By now what we have in hand, for example the mobile phone, becomes different day by day compared to when we bought it because we always have new things, new ideas, new possibilities, and so are cars, we see the Tesla which occasionally leaves new releases, we think that even household appliances must now have this type of attitude. The market is ready and we are capable, ready to give this as our commitment from now on for the future to the market”.
“It is important for us to participate in this event because England is certainly a very important market within our country portfolio but – he added Giulio Cocci, CEO of Elica – it is also a very important country in terms of design trends, technological trends, demand trends in general. Here in England, with our beautiful show trailer, we are presenting a range of products of the highest design, of the highest performance, of the highest quality, with increasingly sustainable materials, with the advantage of an ever-increasing interconnection between kitchen appliances which allows us to make them talk, to make them talk, to reduce consumption, to improve performance and to have the information that allows us to work for the continuous improvement of all aspects of our products. In the UK we have a very long-term relationship with DR Cooker Hoods which is the protagonist of this exhibition together obviously with our products, a relationship that goes beyond the simple commercial partnership, a full partnership relationship, therefore we also have our people inside by DR Cooker Hoods. It is a long-term development project that is yielding great results and it was very important for us on this occasion to present ourselves with the expansion of the cooking range that we announced in April which has now become a reality, therefore ovens, then induction hobs. What we saw today is the first step on a journey that will take us to the main European countries to promote our product offer: an Elica that is increasingly cooking but which remains strong, very strong in its core business, therefore in the extraction systems!.
