An executive from the opponent Moïse Katumbi’s party was killed and several others injured on Tuesday November 28, 2023 in Kindu, in the east of the DRC, where the opponent arrived as part of his campaign for the presidential election on December 20 . This is the first major incident since the start of this electoral campaign which is taking place in a tense political climate.
