Eid’s arm was amputated after the attack: “Swimming was everything to me”

The sea was 17-year-old Gazan Eid Salman’s favorite place. Now he has been in the hospital bed for just over a month. At the same time, more lives are being harvested with each passing day.

– I loved to swim. Not a day went by without me going to the sea, says Eid.

According to the UN, roughly 90 percent of Gaza’s population is on the run.

Since the war between Hamas and Israel broke out on November 7, more than 23,000 people have been killed and nearly 60,000 injured. That according to the Hamas-run health authority in Gaza.

– Everyone who has children, see how our children are killed in the streets, says Laila Ahmed, who had to flee her home in northern Gaza.
