On Monday evening, the Ica store at Knalleland in Borås was closed by staff and guards as usual. But it would soon turn out that the store was not empty of people, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

A man in his 40s was in the room, who managed to hide in the store during the closing. Once he was left alone, he began to pour out drinks of various kinds, with the aim of being able to pawn the containers in which the drinks were stored.

– In connection with that, a burglary alarm has gone off, so guards and the police are ordered to the scene because a burglary was suspected, says the police spokesperson August Brandt to Göteborgs-Posten.

Once the police and security guards arrived at the store, the man was taken into custody according to LOB, the law on the handling of intoxicated persons, on suspicion of vandalism.

According to Gothenburg Post there is no information on whether anything other than drinks was damaged in the store.
