Deficiencies in human rights in Sweden

In this year’s report from the Institute for Human Rights, particular emphasis is placed on violence against young girls in state youth homes, men’s violence against women and gang violence.
– We are most concerned about the violence, coercion and restrictions that people with disabilities are subjected to in institutions, says Fredrik Malmberg, director of the Institute for Human Rights.

Every year, the Institute for Human Rights issues a report that describes the current situation for human rights in Sweden. And today the annual report, which summarizes how the rights developed last year, is handed over to the government. This year’s report shows that there are shortcomings in human rights in Sweden today.
