Opponents of the plans anticipate nuisance to the surrounding area, including noise, traffic and damage to vulnerable nature. Nature organizations, local residents and other private individuals therefore submitted a total of eleven objections against the amended zoning plan of the municipality of Baarn. After a hearing in April, the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State still needed more than nine months to reach a balanced decision.
