A 15-year-old Tetris player has broken all existing records and celebrated his triumph appropriately. He was proud to tell his father that he was already earning money with his passion.
Which player is it about? 15-year-old Alex T probably counts Tetris as one of his greatest passions. There is no other explanation for his records in the game.
Within a very short period of time, he managed to break not just one, but several existing records. This includes, among other things, cracking the highest score.
On March 11th the time had come and Alex T reached an impressive 10 million points in Tetris. For comparison: The previous record holder named PixelAndy “only” managed 8.9 million. That was in January 2024.
But this triumph wasn’t enough for the ambitious Alex T. He kept playing, and it wasn’t long before the next milestone was reached.

What else has Alex T accomplished? 10 million points weren’t enough for the 15-year-old. He kept playing and broke the incredible mark of 16 million points. That is almost twice as much as the previous record holder had ever achieved.
The whole thing was streamed and can be viewed as a video on YouTube. When Alex T realized what he had accomplished, he understandably freaked out and celebrated his triumph. Without further ado, he grabbed a packet of parmesan and covered himself in cheese.
He then washed his hair with shampoo in front of the camera. His father was proud to tell him that he was already making money playing Tetris. His record probably earned him around $2,000.

Is there a problem with this? Although Alex T has undoubtedly outperformed all previous Tetris players, his performance is not without criticism. Because the version of the game used was modified. This is not unusual for top players and is primarily intended to prevent crashes at higher levels.
Nevertheless, there are parts of the community that think puristically and only use the original version of Tetris for such record attempts.
Tetris still seems to keep players busy many years after its release. The community never tires of continuing to break records and push the boundaries of what was previously possible. It wasn’t until January 2024 that a player managed to play through Tetris for the first time.
