CoD Warzone 2 bans cheaters at just the right moment

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Happy ending in Call of Duty Warzone 2! When a player encounters a cheater in the final circle of the battle royale, the odds are stacked against him. Every bullet of the opponent hits, the player falls to the ground. The situation seems hopeless, but then the anti-cheat intervenes.

It’s no big secret that free-to-play titles often have problems with cheaters and hackers. They simply create a new account if their old account has been blocked. Verdansk, the first Warzone map was overrun by cheaters when it was released.

Hackers were also up to mischief on Caldera, the second map. It was especially bad at the beginning of CoD Vanguard. The situation only got better when Ricochet was implemented.

Nevertheless, there are incessant discussions about cheaters and hackers. Because even CoD: MW2 and Warzone 2 are not free of cheaters. Scammers often use tools that the anti-cheat does not recognize.

A new map is coming to Warzone 2 soon. Ashika Island brings back the popular Resurgence mode:

Cheater threatens to win Warzone, but then the anti-cheat intervenes

Twitch streamer DyceTV successfully played a round of Warzone. He made it to the last circle and there was only one opponent left. Cautiously, the streamer surveyed: there was little cover around him. His opponent had the better position.

The moment DyceTV peered over a hilltop, the first bullets were already flying in his direction. Every shot was a hit. The streamer retreated and added armor plates.

When he came out of cover again, he was immediately shot at again. Then the streamer became suspicious that something could not go right. In disbelief he said to his viewers:

This guy just doesn’t miss! … You just don’t miss it… Guys, that guy cheated!

Yo! why are you cheating why are you cheating

With new armor plates in the vest, the streamer fired back. He was able to score a few good goals himself, but that wasn’t enough. He fell to the ground and tried to revive himself. At that moment, the cheater rushed him to finish things off. But before the cheater could fire the final shot, he disappeared from the game.

Apparently Ricochet, Warzone’s anti-cheat, recognized the scam and immediately removed the cheater from the match. So last-minute rescue and a happy ending for the streamer, who could hardly believe his luck.
