CK police seek publics help after Tilbury high school Pride

Chatham-Kent police are seeking the public’s help after a Pride flag was stolen from Tilbury District secondary school.

The flag was stolen from the school’s flagpole between Saturday and Monday, police said.

Teen faces mulltiple assault charges

A teen faces charges after a woman was assaulted repeatedly this year, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to a disturbance on Redwood Crescent in Chatham about 10 p.m. Tuesday learned a woman had suffered bodily harm in a clash with a man, police said. They also learned of other alleged incidents dating back to January, including one in which the woman allegedly lost consciousness.

A Tilbury East Township man, 18, is charged with assault and five counts of assault causing bodily harm, police said. He was released with conditions and a July 17 court date, police said.

Man charged after Chatham clash

A man faces charges after a Tuesday night altercation in Chatham, police say.

Officers called to a disturbance at a Wedgewood Avenue address about 7:15 pm learned a man had clashed with another man and left, Chatham-Kent police said. A suspect was located after a search of the area.

Investigation revealed the suspect was bound by orders not to go near the Wedgewood Avenue address or its occupant, police said.

A Chatham man, 46, is charged with assault, uttering threats, failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with a probation order, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.
