Cameroon launches its fully electronic visa project

Foreign travelers leaving for Cameroon will no longer need to go to the country’s consular services for their visa applications. All related procedures will now be carried out online. It is an evolution that is announced as a small revolution. The e-visa project aims to facilitate and simplify the procedures for users in our consular services, seen from the angle that allows them to quickly obtain visas by completing the files that will be submitted to them online. “explains Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Minister of External Relations.

The project was presented to an audience of personalities including ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Yaoundé. Eric Jacquemin; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Cameroon, hailed his advent. “ The fact of offering this type of service cannot speed up and facilitate the obtaining of a visa. So I think it’s a revolutionary and very positive project. On the one hand, I congratulate them and on the other hand, I wish them a lot of success “.

This achievement is the result of a partnership between the government and a private provider. Its entry into force is planned for April 30, 2023.
