Brynäs defeated Modo in a summit meeting – Maja Nylén-Persson decided

See the ruling in the player above.

Brynäs, fourth in the table, took on runner-up Modo in Gävle and it was set for a tight battle. The last four meetings had been decided by one goal – and that was also the case on Monday evening.

Both goalkeepers, Klara Peslarova in Brynäs and Andrea Brändli in Modo, stood on their heads throughout the match and saved 32 shots each. But the 33rd shot against Brändli came from Maja Nylén-Persson and sat perfectly in the cross, giving Brynäs the overtime victory, 1-0.

– I got a little space, so it was nice to put it there and win, says Nylén-Persson to TV4 Play and continues:

– We certainly don’t play our best match, but the fact that we can win against such a good team as Modo is strong.
