Bottle recycling with SACE and UniCredit Amut will export machinery

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Amut, Piedmontese company specialized in the design and construction of plastic recycling plants, grows in Latin America with SACE and UniCredit. Thanks to the operation of non-recourse discount of up to 16 million euro granted by UniCredit and to cSACE’s coverage of production and credit risks the company will export three plants for the production of PET bottle recycling lines to Peru, Guatemala and Colombia. In detail, the Novara-based company will build the systems for the San Miguel Industrias Groupestablished in 2006 in Peru, today the main producer and distributor of preforms and bottles in PET and RPET (PET from recycled material) for the food & beverage segments in South and Central America.

“We are very proud to announce this team success which has made it possible to create a strong partnership with SMI, one of the most important packaging manufacturers in Latin America – said Mauro Drappo CEO of Amut –. Amut has always been committed to sustainability, with the production of PET recycling plants for food use and represents an example of the circular economy of PET bottles and more, thanks to an integrated process: from the collection of containers to the selection and to the subsequent recycling of the plastic material which can thus be brought back to a second life”.

“For over 45 years we have been at the side of companies that export, supporting them in their sustainable growth, and with this operation we consolidate the long-term relationship with Amut, a company from Novara, which has always been present in foreign markets, especially in Latin America – he declared Enrica Delgrosso, regional director Northwest SACE –. In the current context of instability and uncertainty, companies can count on our support, consisting of numerous insurance-financial products and accompanying services, useful for developing Italian exports, the real engine of the economy”.

“We enthusiastically support the growth plans in the Latin American markets of AMUT, the Italian group world leader in extrusion and recycling technologies – he stated Paola Garibotti, North West regional manager of UniCredit –. We are an international bank and thanks to our export finance team, whom I thank, we offer concrete and innovative financial solutions to Italian companies”.
