Beautiful young people at escalative, spectacularly staged parties. Naked skin, sometimes more, sometimes less illegal substances and finally the very big escalation, where nothing is sacred anymore. No, this isn’t about Euphoria, HBO’s award-winning series starring Zendaya. It’s about Assassination Nation – the film series creator Sam Levinson made right before the show that changed his life.

And you can do exactly this film tonight watch free TV for the first time.

That’s what Assassination Nation is all about

In the FSK 16 film, the population of wealthy Salem is hacked. Scandalous news stories, intimate photos, all accessible to everyone and with the potential to destroy lives. When pictures surface of teenage girl Lily (Odessa Young) allegedly showing a witch mark on her back, the situation finally escalates to the max.

a male, heavily armed mob wants to kill the young woman. But she doesn’t plan to end up on a modern pyre. Together with her friends Sarah (Suki Waterhouse), Em (Abra), Bex (Hari Nef) and other Salem women, she confronts the threat.

Sam Levinson’s film is a stylish mix of Euphoria, Sucker Punch and The Purge

The theme of young women defending themselves against violent men and the sexist society, on the other hand, is reminiscent of Sucker Punch. Zack Snyder’s video game-like CGI extravaganza from 2011 fell through with many critics, but it definitely is entertaining, visually interesting and has a bomb soundtrack. Just like Assassination Nation. And the setting of a city in which every kind of brutality is suddenly possible? Definitely The Purge.

As a reminder, this is what Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch looked like in the trailer

The main comparison here, however, is Euphoria. A series that probably would have looked a little different if Sam Levinson hadn’t been able to test certain elements in Assassination Nation. The hypnotically beautiful music video aesthetic, the cynically serene teen characters, even parts of the soundtrack – all as he later perfected it in Euphoria. It even features Maude Apatow, who plays Lexi Howard on the acclaimed HBO series! Also joining the cast are Bella Thorne, It star Bill Skarsgård and Joel McHale from cult series Community.
