Bloody man alerted police – arrested for murder

The police received an alert on Sunday morning about a bloody man in a stairwell in central Borås. The man tried to get into a residence, without anyone opening the door.

The man then appeared outside the police station and claimed that there was a deceased man in a residence nearby. When the police went to the address, the information turned out to be correct. The person was pronounced dead by paramedics. A knife linked to the crime was also found at the scene.

The site has been cordoned off for technical examination. The man is arrested on suspicion of murder or manslaughter.
