Big day for new Utrecht coalition: agreement presented

D day for new Utrecht coalition agreement presented

These were remarkable results on March 16 in the Utrecht municipal elections. The three incumbent coalition parties lost. GroenLinks went from 12 to 9 seats and D66 from 10 to 8 seats. The ChristenUnie remained the same in seats, but also lost votes in absolute numbers. Also noteworthy was the large number of parties that won one or more seats. The biggest winner was Volt, who came from nowhere to three seats. EenUtrecht and Bij1 have also had a seat since then. Besides Volt, the CDA, PvdA, the Party for the Animals and Student & Starter also won.
