Biathlon: Sebastian Samuelsson fifth – shot full in the WC sprint

The gold was won by Sturla Holm Laegreid after a second battle against the sovereign Johannes Thingnes Bö. His joy after finishing was clear and he celebrated big.

Bö’s medal was his 33rd WC medal in his career.

– Nice, it was a bit fun in a way, says SVT’s expert Björn Ferry about Laegreid’s gold.

“Bounces on some names you think you should have hit”

Sebastian Samuelsson was really happy with his race. He was 18 seconds from the third place that Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen took.

– It’s a special race, it’s one of the best races of my career. I pick it up when it matters the most. 49 seconds, two series, it’s by far the best I’ve done, Samuelsson continues.

Who knew that the Swedish skis might not be perfect today.

– If I see how the others shoot, then I think that if I shoot full; then I’ll win today, and I’m a bit away from that. You bounce on some names you think you should have hit when they missed a shot.
