Biathlon: Bottom for Samuelsson – second to last in the mass start: “Shame on you”

Yesterday, Sebastian Samuelsson got to step on the podium for the first time in several months, but today the podium was far away.

Samuelsson began the mass start by shooting three blocks and followed it up with as many blocks in the second shooting. Then the Swede was hopelessly last in the competition.

– I am ashamed. I saw the race as an opportunity to do something good, but this was bad.

Battle for last place

Samuelsson ended up in 29th place, second to last in the competition and over five minutes behind the winner Johannes Thingnes Bö.

– After the first laps, I realized that it’s a long way up, says Samuelsson and then adds:

– I was probably more tired than I wanted to admit and I couldn’t get it to work at all.
