In Paris, the capital of France, bedbugs were frequently seen in public areas such as public transportation and cinemas. People started sharing videos of bedbugs in public transportation on social media.
“NO ONE IS SAFE”
Paris Deputy Mayor Emmanuel Gregoire made a statement to the press yesterday and said: “You must understand that in reality no one is safe, of course there are risk factors, but in reality you can be infected with bedbugs and bring them home.” Gregoire stated in his statement that bedbugs are not a threat to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
French Minister of Transport Clement Beaune made a statement on the issue yesterday and said, “Next week, I will bring together transport operators and inform them about the measures taken and I will make more efforts to serve, reassure and protect passengers.”
