A sect sows terror in the French Alps. This is the starting point of the French mini-series Anthracite, the 6 episodes of which are put online this Wednesday April 10, 2024 on Netflix. This detective series tells how, 30 years after the collective suicide committed by a sect, the murder of a woman awakens the demons of this village and undermines the balance found by the inhabitants. A young delinquent is quickly wrongly accused of murder, and an eccentric geek offers him help in finding the real culprit.
Created by Fanny Robert (Aim for the heart, Profiling) and Maxime Berthemy (UFOs, Profiling) who co-signed the plot with Sophie Lebarbier and Mehdi Ouahab, the series is directed by Julius Berg (The Forest, The Purple Rivers).The two main characters are played by the rapper Hatik, who has already appeared in a film and two series, and the Swiss actress Noémie Schmidt (Versailles, Radin!, 3615 Monique). At their side, Camille Lou, Kad MeradJean-Marc Barr in the role of Ida’s father, Raphaël Ferret (Profiling), Nicolas Godart, Stefano Cassetti (Roberto Succo) who plays the guru of the sect, and Vincent Rottiers (The fighters, Save or perish).

Jaro Gatsi, a young delinquent who came to live in the mountains to find balance in his life, is the ideal culprit. Determined to prove his innocence, he receives unexpected help from Ida, an eccentric geek looking for her missing father. Both will find answers in the secrets of their pasts.
