– The law has made it easier to access situations at, for example, after parties. But we see that when it comes to cases in close relationships there are still difficulties, says Jenny Westerstrand, chairman of Roks.
Alice, whose real name is something else, was raped by a guy she had never met before at a house party. By then, the Consent Act had been in place for a couple of years and that helped her in the decision to report.
– It still felt like I had the right on my side.
The day after the party, Alice filed a police report. In questioning, he has said that he did not understand that she did not want to. He was sentenced for negligent rape to prison for six months.
