AI technology can help researchers find the right antibiotics for resistant bacteria.

With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), researchers have managed to develop a new type of antibiotic that could work as a treatment against one of the world’s most resistant bacteria, acinetobacter baumannii, reports Sweden’s Radio Ekot.

– AI is now becoming a more and more important tool in the development of new medicines, and we will see more new substances in the coming years, says Leif Eriksson, professor of physical chemistry at the University of Gothenburg, to Ekot.

The substance has not yet been tested in clinical studies.
