After the criticism – Nässjö business enterprise postpones the price increase

The accusations were based on the fact that Jönköping energi and Nässjö business would not have informed their customers correctly. The property owners said, among other things, that they had completely omitted the customers’ rights in the information letter.

– We have not deliberately done anything wrong. We think we have done this the right way, but we are looking at this now and going through the whole thing, said Patric Cantby, CEO of Nässjö business, to SVT Nyheter Jönköping at the end of December.

Raised by 24 percent

It has now been decided that the price will be increased in April instead, then by 24 percent. The previously planned increase was 17 percent.

– A new decision was made by the board of Nässjö business enterprise on January 16, 2024, which means a tariff increase of 24 percent from April 1, 2024. This means that during the cold period January – March, the tariff level is at the same level that we were at during the years 2021- 2023 when the rate has been unchanged, says Patrik Cantby, in a press release.

The reason is the challenging situation on the energy and fuel market due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Jönköping energy is also postponing the increase

Jönköping energi says in a press release that they too are postponing their price increase until February 23. The new price applies to companies.

– Although the case is not completely black and white, we choose not to pursue the case further because we do not wish to have disputes with our customers. Therefore, we take a more constructive way forward and postpone our price increase until February 23, says CEO Fridolf Eskilsson.
