A month for home races Capture the Lions game days

The World Hockey Championships will start on May 13 in Helsinki and Tampere. Lions play all their matches in Tampere. The World Cup will culminate in medal matches on May 29th.

The World Hockey Championships will be kicked off on Friday 13 May. The A-block matches are played in Helsinki, the Lions are fighting in the B-block to be played in Tampere.

The block division of the World Cup was renewed this spring, when France and Austria replaced Russia and Belarus, which were closed from the World Cup. France joined Helsinki’s A block and Austria joined the B block in Tampere.

The Lion’s Day in the World Championships will start on the opening day of May 13, when Finland will take its lead from Norway. The block phase ends on Tuesday, May 24th.

The top four in the first round will advance to the playoffs at the World Championships in Tampere. The semi-finals will be played on Thursday 26 May, the semi-finals on Saturday 28 May and the medal matches on Sunday 29 May.

Finland will start its home competition from the top of the world ranking. The Lions’ Olympic victory in a tournament played in Beijing raised Finland to the top of the list and dropped Canada to second place.
