On Saturday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic dispute in the Harvey Street area.
Through investigation, police learned that a woman allegedly punched and kicked a man several times, and allegedly threw a flowerpot at him, striking him in the chest.
It is also alleged she destroyed a separate planter box full of flowers by throwing it down the stairs.
The 26-year-old Chatham woman was charged with assault, assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000. She was taken to police headquarters where she was later released with conditions and a short date.
Man charged with assault with a weapon
Police responded Saturday morning to a report of an assault at an address in Blenheim.
Officers learned that an altercation had occurred between a man and his landlord, which culminated in the man allegedly swinging a piece of workout equipment at the complainant.
The 61-year-old Blenheim man was charged with assault with a weapon. He was taken to headquarters where he was released with conditions and a short date.
Impaired charge after crash
On Saturday night, police responded to a single-vehicle collision in the area of Zone Center Line.
Upon arrival, police determined that the male driver of a pickup had lost control of the vehicle and rolled it, causing it to strike a gas line and hydro pole.
The 42-year-old Bothwell man was taken headquarters where two breath samples were obtained, both allegedly registering over the legal limit.
He was released with a future short date.
